Today, my brother-in-law is going to help rebuild Port Arthur, TX with the Mennonite Disaster Service. He and his friends are donating their time and labor for an entire week.

The Mennonite Disaster Service uses free labor and donations to make this such a worthwhile organization. They use their resources well, and are extremely organized.
I know that they were one of the first services to reach the Gulf area after Hurricane Katrina. In fact, they helped the Red Cross set up their services!
