You can use the Montessori birthday celebration to celebrate the New Year. Place in a circle the name of each month written on a card, put a candle in the middle and let your child walk around the months of 2008. It’s great to say out loud the names of the months. Place a new January card with the year 2009 written on it to replace January 2008. Tell your child that this is a new year, 2009.
